And in other Bethany news, last week when she was baking cupcakes she came outside to tell me that they were ready to go in the oven, and the wind caught the front door as she was coming out and slammed her finger. A lot of blood, screaming, and six stitches later...
The entire nail had to be removed, and the entire fingertip, from halfway between the top knuckle and the cuticle all the way up is just shattered. The doctor put the nail back on to stabilize the healing, but it will fall off when the stitches come off next week.
She's doing really well now, and only takes the Lortab Elixir at night, and gets herself some ibuprofen if it starts hurting during the day. She doesn't want to be taking a lot of medicine, she says, so she only takes it when it REALLY hurts.
